Subject: Pointer to what is Objective-C?

I checked the FAQ and didn't find anything describing what Objective-C is.  
Can someone please point me to a definition of Objective-C (is it another 
language like C and C++)?  Just curious, since the FAQ says that djgpp will 
compile Objective-C.
