By error, I types:

coff2exe -c /gcc/bin/go32.exe my_prog

Since "-c" is an unknown option, it said: can't find file -c
which is OK, but the unfortunate is that it did not stop when finding
that error, but it DAMAGED /gcc/bin/go32.exe, leading to very
stange abnormal terminations.

===> suggestion: that coff2exe.exe checks first the validity of the
command line, then and only then, begin to override the argument
