Am I correct to then assume that I can not fill a screen using an assembly routine that directly stores data in it (rather than calling some other routine for each pixel/line/etc? That would probably be too slow for what I am doing. I am about to start looking through the source of the graphics library to better understand what is up, but would feel alot better if someone would clarify this for me before I end up wasting lots of time to find out djgpp won't do what I need.
