Uhhh ... no .... DJGPP is *32-bit*, protected mode compiler.  Therefore, 
you'll need at least a 80386.

There's a couple of shareware C compilers out there that would work on a 
8088 ... Mark DeSmet's (sp?) Personal "C" Compiler comes to mind.  Don't 
have an FTP site or anything because I saw it on a local BBS.  (And this 
was like 7 years ago also).  

Any C/C++ compiler that compiles for real mode should work on an 8088.  
Including Turbo C/C++ and QuickC.
