Actually I think Linux + DOSEMU + DPMI makes a great environment for devloping DOS applications. You can use all the tools available under Linux, such make, gcc, emacs and rcs. And if someone can get gdbserver works under DOS, you even can use gdb to debug your DOS programs through your favorite interface, xxgdb gdb.el etc. The latest to be release DOSEMU 0.60 will run djgpp v1, v2, DOOM, bcc.exe 3.1 and hopefully Windows 3.1, YES, bcc and Windows 3.1! --- Dong Liu Electrical and Computer Engineering Department New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ 07102
