Please forgive me; I know this is a FAQ, since I just looked in
the djgpp.faq file and saw it there, but I have been getting
unresolved externals pointing to the various members of the
iostream classes.  I have been linking like this:

gcc -o myprog -lgpp -lgpl myprog.cc

and still not getting the iostreams library linked.  In
desperation, I downloaded the libgpl source code and compiled it,
and still it would not work.  I noticed that the dosmake.bat file
resulted in two new libraries, libio.a and libiostr.a, neither of
which would find the externals, and that the newly-compiled
version of libgpl.a was slightly smaller than the out-of-the-box
version.

Obviously I am doing something very stupid, and humbly request
help in correcting my mistakes.
