Thanks for the response to my first few questions. I've got a few more.

     5. Where would I get a make.exe program?

     6. Per my understanding, to use any of the math functions (sine,
        cosine, etc.) I have to have a 387. Are there any math libraries
        for gcc that do not require a co-processor?
