I tried it with v1.09 under DOS 5.00 and QEMM 6.04. The posted
source used a short and a long, which I changed to int, float
and double for giggles. It compiles correctly until you include
the '-g' flag.

I don't have gdb, so I couldn't poke through the process. Perhaps
an .asm guru can shed more light. Gurus?
