From: Andy Duplain Subject: ld used from gcc To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Date: Thu, 26 Aug 1993 09:45:57 +0100 (WET DST) Hi, Thanks to all those that helped me with the 386MAX problem... the answer is to use G032 version 1.10a onwards with the "nodpmi" switch set. I have a problem using ld from gcc in that ld complains that it cannot find file 'c' (by which it means libc.a). If I use the -v flag with gcc to see how ld is being called, it is correct; i.e. if I type the exact same command by hand it works. To make it even more complicated it works OK on my work PC but not my home PC (the home version is an exact replica of work version). I recently installed the fixed binaries from djgpp/pub/binutl22-fix.zip, if that matters. I have checked the environment variables and the fact that libc.a exists... as I say it works by hand. Any help appreciated. -- Andy Duplain, BT Customer Systems, Brighton, UK. duplain AT rtf DOT bt DOT co DOT uk Tel: +44 (0)273 206777 Fax: +44 (0)273 326475.
