Subject: GNUmake and gcc


Even though makefiles for contributions are recommended to be written
for GNU make, when I attempt to call gcc from a makefile being processed
by gnu make, my machine hangs.  Borland's make works fine.

I'm using GNU make from make358bx.zip on wuarchive.

Has there been another patch to Ohl's make?
