But running programs which use functions from the library libgr (e.g. in samples\grtask\) causes a strange behavior of my PC. Instead of drawing the expected pictures it seemed to me that only the color map was changed and nothing was drawn. At least I wasn't able to see anything. The computer didn't crash, however. I could terminate the program by pressing ^C. But afterwards the screen looked awfully (the Norton commander appeared not in blue but in yellow...). So I decided to reboot DOS to get back the original colors. In the first moment I thought that the library itself or the drivers were responsible for these problems. But a comparison to the old version (djgpp 1.08) showed that this could not be possible. So I tried to replace go32 from version 1.10 with go32 from version 1.08. After having done so all my graphics programs worked fine. What might be the problem here? I use a 80386DX with 4MB RAM, DRDOS 6.0 (with EMM386 in V86 mode) and an ET4000 with Tseng Chips.
