I just got version 1.09 of gcc and I'm experiencing an annoying problem when running a program using go32. if I pass a filename to go32 which does not exist then I get the error message that go32 couldn't open such a file and then one of two things happen... a) I get the command line prompt back, or b) I don't get the command line prompt back... ever. the final result is always the same though, after this my machine totally freezes. even ctrl-alt-del will not reboot it. summary: passing a non-existing filename to go32 to run causes a file not found error and subsequent total lock-up. Is there something I'm doing wrong? has anybody else had this problem before? My machine is a 386-40 if that helps. What should i do about this? - Jeff Wiegley, jwiegley AT scf DOT usc DOT edu
