Subject: DPMI 1.0 To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu (DJ's GPP mailing list) Date: Mon, 15 Mar 93 19:53:36 EST From: Stephen Turnbull From any commercial vendor is wishful thinking. Maybe you'll get lucky, but the profit is in supporting Windoze. Quarterdeck has a certain amount of interest in doing it right, since the more stuff gets ported to DV/X, the better for them, and looks like half the time DJGPP does it without any changes that aren't *driven by working under DOS*. Ie, all other compilers have to do these, *plus compiler-specific stuff*. (Unless they're already a major cross-platform environment. Even then, I bet GCC is the biggest.) -- Stephen Turnbull The Ohio State University, Department of Economics 410 Arps Hall, 1945 N.
