Subject: Linking POV and JPEG programs

Hello,

I have just joined this mailing list so perhaps this has already been covered.
When I try to link POV and the JPEG 4 code, the linker seems to forget the
names of some of the functions.  Some function names (about 8-10 in each) get
lost and appear as unresolved references.  I have carefully checked the 
makefiles and I am not simply forgeting .o files, or anything equally silly 
(I hope).

Here is what I have tried:
   1 Maximizing conventional memory space
   2 Creating libraries of the necessary files

If someone has successfully linked these programs, please let me know.
