It appears as if these symbols are defined in new-libcygwin.a but not in libcygwin.a with which it is trying to link same sort of errors in the 'utils' directory I have had this problem for about a week This is with a fresh cvs co of winsup following from my top level config.status ../src/configure --host=i686-pc-cygwin --prefix=/usr -v --norecursion cygwin=ntsec win2k sp2 on a binary mount Cheers Norman Vine
