I still have an error but this is due to a merger problem with my copy of cinstall's choose.cc (a work in process) and the current version in cvs. Curiosity though - which fix was it that got it running - Corinna for the w32api dealing with ANONYMOUS_STRUCT or -mno-cygwin in the specs file that Li-Kai Liu found and I believe you corrected or was it some other that I don't even recognise as being involved like your cleanup of cinstall for the _UNION_NAME and _STRUCT_NAME. Again thanks for pointing me in the right direction. bk
