Most (all?) of the stuff that Ian added to try to get dejagnu working with tcl/tk are no longer required so hopefully that's good news. What is required are DJ's minor changes to build a separate static cygwin version of tcl for use with expect. I've Cc'ed Syd and Mo in this message so that they'll be aware that you are contemplating working on tcl 8.3.x. cgf
