If NTEA is activated and an unix attribute stored in it has the executable flag, real_path.exec_p is certainly set in symlink_check_one. Then checking executable extentions by check_executable_p() is skipped in fhandler_disk_file::open. But I don't think it is preferable to read NTEA only for skipping such a light function.
