Is it possible, that the problem is a result of my configuring for i586-pc-cygwin32? ^^^^ The same doesn't happen with `cc1plus' from cygwin cdkb20a1, which seems to contain the patches and is configured for i386-pc-cygwin32 ^^^^ I will now recompile egcs1.1b _with_ the patches and for i586...
