I agree with DJ.  Write should default to binary with this feature.  The only
reported Win32 program that doesn't work correctly with UNIX style line endings
is NOTEPAD.  NOTEPAD opens it's files in binary mode and searches for the \r to
know when to advance to the next line. :(
