Hi all,

I'm looking into adding Alpha NT support to the toolset, and am wondering
if any preliminary work's been done already. Has anyone been looking into
Alpha-specific issues, or done any work on a port already?

Also, I've located a functional set of usertools
(ftp://dutlbcz.lr.tudelft.nl/alphant/Shells/bash-alpha-nt-1.01.tar.gz) and
a partially functional toolset that includes a compiler
(ftp://guiduck.com/gcc-alpha.zip), both of which appear to be based on the
B17.5 dll; unfortunately, no sources are availiable with either set. Does
anyone know what happened to the sources from either of these ports? The
original author (Wolfgang Bachman, I believe) hasn't been reachable.

Finally, I apologize for the noise if any of my misaddressed subscription
requests got through to the list - my bad.
