Anyway, here's a simple test case that fails with make 3.75-97r2Beta distributed in the win32native-opt-980213.tar.bz2 file that Geoff provided: prodfiles:=/tmp/foo /tmp/bar $(prodfiles): %: %.prod @echo "making $@" The error: makefile:3: *** missing separator.
