Sorry 'bout that. It should be: export MANPATH="${MANPATH}:/usr/ssl/man" That is, just add an equal sign between variable name and the value. Your change isn't correct since the leading colon gets lost. It's important, though. If it's missing, man wouldn't search the default MANPATH as given in /usr/lib/man.conf anymore.
