Why *would* it be nice? I need Berkeley DB for Perl too, with dynamic libs if possible, please;) And also the others, these are no special programs/libraries but of general interest and I think they need to be single packages. > I'm looking forward to MySQL and If there is a MySQL daemon running for this application it is there and could be used for every other application too so I think it makes not much sense to provide a `private' mysql version. > especially Qmail! *shining eyes* What is so special with qmail? There is an existing port of exim which is the really good, it includes a sendmail emulation (better than ssmtp) and all, just test it and ask Pierre if he will maintain it to include it in the dist. I guess it was also Pierre Humblet who has ported qpopper, so do I still need qmail? No. Only thing that I'm interested in is how Stephan worked around the problem with the lack of mkfifo() on Cygwin. Gerrit -- =^..^= mailto:gp AT familiehaase DOT de
