BTW: I have set up anonCVS access for cygrunsrv on my local box:

  cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs AT cygwin DOT de:/home/cvs/cvsroot login
  Password is "anoncvs"

  cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs AT cygwin DOT de:/home/cvs/cvsroot co cygrunsrv
