This is a refresh from the FSF sources, with one addition -- I've changed the default alignment (COFF_DEFAULT_SECTION_ALIGNMENT_POWER) from 2 to 4. This is apparently required for SSE and 128 bit data types. This means that this version of binutils is incompatible with versions of gcc prior to 2.95.3-10. To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. You'll find binutils listed in the "Devel" category. If you have questions or comments, please send them to the Cygwin mailing list at: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com . I would appreciate it if you would use this mailing list rather than emailing me directly. This includes ideas and comments about the setup utility or Cygwin in general. Of course, it always pays to check the mailing list archives prior to posting to save yourself the embarrassment of asking a question that has been asked multiple times before. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
