Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-IsSubscribed: yes Bashdb doesn't work very well (many things don't work) on Cygwin, -- figured out that Bashdb is from 2012, while bash is from 2017. If bashdb was upgraded to a compatible version it might run a bit better. Table from page @ https://sourceforge.net/projects/bashdb/files/bashdb/5.0-1.1.1/ Selecting which version of bashdb to use The version of bashdb to use has to be compatible with the version of bash used. Run bash --version to see what version of bash you are using. If bash is 5.0 or higher, use folder 5.0-1.1.1 If bash is 4.4 or higher, use folder 4.4-1.0.1 If bash is 4.3 or higher, use folder 4.3-0.91 If bash is 4.2 or higher, use folder 4.2-0.8 If bash is 4.1 or higher but less than 4.2 use folder 4.1-0.5 If bash is 4.0 or higher but less than 4.1 use folder 4.0-0.4 If bash is 3.1 or higher and less than 4.0, use folder 3.1-0.09. If bash is 3.0 or higher but less than 3.1, use the folder 3.00-0.05. FYI, it appears to also work with ksh and zsh.
