However, as I suspect this to be related to Cygwin's implementation of "/proc", you will need help from Corinna. Moreover, I am using W7 (perhaps David Karr also uses W7; he did not tell). I would advice to focus on W10 (as W7 will cease to exist soon); I remember that Corinna wrote that some "features" related to /proc could not be realized w/ W7.
