(Erik, using the official tool! - setup-x86_64.exe) - I get the same result (for both the current cygwin1.dll and the modified one) - enter alt-234, followed by a backspace, followed by a linefeed, results in dash complaining - enter alt-234, followed by TWO backspaces (which eats part of the prompt), followed by a linefeed, leaves dash at peace ...
