Also the comments "update your cygwin package" leaves something to be desired as it's not clear which package needs to be updated. I am running the following version of setup.exe: setup.exe 2.873 32-bit I'll try and see if there is a later version of setup.exe that does not have this issue. Incidentally, on the same system, a 64-bit install of Cygwin does not have this problem.
