Something's wrong with your settings in /etc/nsswitch.conf.  If the
settings are correct:

  passwd: files
  group: files

then the method pwdgrp::fetch_account_from_windows() will never be
called.  It appears that the nsswitch.conf setting is not right, so
the default setting is used:

  passwd: files db
  group: files db
