Simple DirectMedia Layer is a cross-platform development framework
designed to provide low level access to audio, keyboard, mouse, and
graphics hardware via OpenGL.  It is used by video playback software,
emulators, and popular games.

These releases fix bugs in the loading of some audio backends in both
branches, and of GLES in SDL2.
