I have not uninstalled w3m-img at this point, but will do so on Monday. As far as Cygwin-X goes, it normally isn't running. I run w3m and all Cygwin utilities in a PuttyCyg terminal screen. I have the usual quick w3m speeds on a PC at home with an older version of w3m (0.5.2-2, Feb 2011) where w3m-img is not installed. I'll uninstall w3m-img from the machine at work on Monday and check again. Thanks again for your time and effort in packaging w3m and running these tests.
