I faced this problem while trying to use public key authorization with ssh (it says, key permissions are too open). I tried chmod 700 id_dsa, but that resulted in 770 permissions. I can't set zero second digit. It seems I'm not the only one with this problem: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9561759/why-cannot-chmod-in-cygwin-on-windows-8-cp Best regards, Victor Milovanov. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
