The message in it says, "The procedure entry point libintl_setlocale could not be located in the dynamic link library cygintl-8.dll." Similarly, I just rebuilt a new version of lftp (4.3.2) against libintl8, and it has exactly the same behavior: $ lftp -V Aborted and the identical popup dialog from strace. The current version of lftp, 4.2.3, doesn't trigger this problem.
