For some reason, even if I do not set it, I have LANG=3DFR. I have also tried to add: export LANG=3D"C.UTF-8" and/or export LC_ALL=3D"C.UTF-8" in .bashrc but it does not change anything. This worked fine with 1.7.8 with export LC_ALL=3D"C.UTF-8" in .bashrc.
