Have you tried manually executing /etc/postinstall/libglade2.0.sh? It looks like a simple script. The manpage states that error code=3D3 is due to xmlcatalog failing to add = an entry to the catalog. This is what happens in Linux when you issue the command, and most probably= , also the expected output in cygwin: # xmlcatalog -v --noout --add "system" \ "http://glade.gnome.org/glade-2.0.dtd" \ /usr/share/xml/libglade/glade-2.0.dtd /etc/xml/catalog 0 Parsing catalog /etc/xml/catalog /etc/xml/catalog added to file hash Adding element system to catalog Catalogs cleanup Free catalog entry -//OASIS//DTD XML Catalogs V1.0//EN Free catalog entry h= ttp://globaltranscorp.org/oasis/catalog/xml/tr9401.dtd Free catalog entry -//GlobalTransCorp//DTD XML Catalogs V1.0-Based Extensio= n V1.0//EN Free catalog entry http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/entity/r= elease/1.0/catalog.dtd Free catalog entry http://glade.gnome.org/glade-2.0.dtd Free catalog entry /etc/xml/catalog Free catalog entry Failing that, you can also try to run xmlcatalog with the -v flag, to see i= f that spots the error. If you finally succeed, don't forget to rename libglade2.0.sh to libglade2.= 0.sh.done. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
