"ls -lrt" (directory in reverse time order) takes forever (well, over 2 minutes): 0.062u 0.264s 2:18.31 0.2% 0+0k 0+0io 2822pf+0w A straight "ls" takes under 1/10 second: 0.000u 0.046s 0:00.08 50.0% 0+0k 0+0io 2572pf+0w This is a 1.5TB SATA drive in a Intel Q6600 computer with 4GB of RAM. This seems to be a recent problem. Any idea what it might be?
