The errors appear in both cases. You have to check all used imagebases, of perl, its dynaloaded dll's, and of the forked program. ldd helps here. Either you have one wrong, i.e. low <0x5000000 base (rebase or re-install this then), or one windows prog is using bases higher than 56000000. MS IE or MS Office usually.
