The database is web-based. The character set of my values is latin1, but when I browse the Database the values are shown in UTF-8. Does cygwin generally deliver values in UTF-8? Can I change it somehow? The values should be encoded in latin1. To make it clearer: I don't want to change the character set in the console, but in the work process of cygwin. I hope, I could explain my problem and I'm curios to get tips.
