  I have just uploaded an updated GCC-4 package to cygwin.com.  It will be
arriving at your favourite mirror next time it synchronizes itself with the
official Cygwin repository.

  This package is a test release, owing to regressions with the Ada language,
and because it is the first package from a new upstream GCC release series.  A
full release of GCC-4.5.1 will follow shortly.

OBTAINING THE RELEASE

  To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the
http://cygwin.com/ web page.  This downloads setup.exe to your system.  Then,
run setup.exe, fill in all of the options, and make appropriate choices on the
"Select Packages" screen.  Because this is an experimental release, any gcc
packages you currently have installed will *not* be automatically selected for
update to the new version; you will need to select the manually, or use the
"Exp" view of setup's chooser display and disable any other undesired
experimental packages.  Note also that on next running setup.exe, experimental
packages are by default selected for roll-back to the current version; they
must be manually deselected in order to retain them.

gcc4-4.5.0-1

This is the first release of the GCC 4 compiler package for Cygwin from
the latest upstream GCC release series, version 4.5.0.  As with previous
Cygwin GCC packages, all the major runtime libraries are implemented
as DLLs as well as static archives.  It can fully co-exist side-by-side
with the older Cygwin gcc-3.4.4 series compiler.  All languages are
supported, although Ada and Java remain works-in-progress.

Because of the regressions in Ada, and in order to give any bedding-in
problems from the first release of a new release series, this is a test
release.  I hope to follow it soon by a full release with Ada working.
