The point was to reduce the spam load on the currently not-too-highly spammed sourceware account. By duplicating the raw email address twice you've increased the likelihood that I'll see spam. Even if I don't, sourceware also has good spam filtering but that is no reason to increase the amount of email to sourceware that gets dropped on the floor. So this has nothing to do with your person spam filter. It has to do with list policy and not getting *my* account spammed. I don't want to beat a dead horse here. I know that Cliff knows what I'm talking about and he was obviously trying to help.
