It looks like Yaakov is right, this seems to have been fixed as of perl-5.1= 0.1; I was still getting problems because my own attempts to build perl-Tk = had gone into /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl which apparently overrides vendor_pe= rl (where the perl-Tk files go). Deleting my site_perl Tk files restores wi= dget and our application to "working" status.
