And then there's that:

                    ^^^^^^  ^^^      ^^^^^^^^

I would have laughed, if it wouldn't be so sad.  Last time I had to do
with Winsock (yesterday, I think) it was still an ugly, UGLY mess
compared to the BSD socket API.
