Perhaps something like this in section 3.1.2 in the table of options. =20 posix=3D0 - Switch off case sensitivity for paths under this mount point. (= default for /cygdrive) posix=3D1 - Switch on case sensitivity for paths under this mount point (de= fault for all other mount points). =20 Ans something like this in section 3.1.3. =20 ...assuming the cygdrive mount options are binary,posix=3D0 (the defaults),= then any file /cygdrive/x/file will be... =20 Also, I understand your reasoning on posix=3D0 in the output of the mount command, except for "mount -m" output which for all other options suppresses the default options because it targets the fstab file. I don't think that "mount -m" should output posix=3D0 for the cygdrive prefix. =20 Alternatively, one could make posix=3D1 the default for all mounts. :-) This might be (inconvenient now, but) less problem in the long run. =20 Thanks, =20 ...Karl=20=09=09=20=09=20=20=20=09=09=20=20 _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Powerful Free email with security by Microsoft. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/196390710/direct/01/ -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
