RANCID does this by the very simple process summarized here: =95 login to each device in the router table (router.db), =95 run various commands to get the information that will be saved, =95 cook the output; re-format, remove oscillating or incrementing data, =95 email any differences (sample) from the previous collection to a mail list, =95 and finally commit those changes to the revision control system http://www.shrubbery.net/rancid/#osystems ________________________ I'm trying to compile RANCID through Cygwin for use on Windows.
