Look, I know my questions are basic. I've said as much. I never claimed to know tons about unix or cygwin. But I need to use cygwin. I used it before successfully. Now I'm trying to reinstall it and hitting problems. Cygwin's problem reporting page sends you to this group. Yes, you all know tons more about unix and cywin than I do. I bow to you. Now I'd really appreciate it if someone would help me out.
