Recently, I had a situation where I wanted to download some
packages to a network share to install at a later time. My
attempt produced:

I ran setup from the share, setup created the log file (without
any problems) on the share, and I (after several attempts) ended
up downloading the files to the local machine and copying them
to the share (again without problems).
