This is a first time install on vista 64 ultimate using 1.7 with setup version 2.637. I restarted, deleted cygwin directories and reinstalled with a different mirror and got the same result. I found the following in C:/cygwin/bash.exe.stackdump. When the error flashes, it shows different line numbers each time, like bash 1948. Oddly, I deleted the stackdump file, and it is never created again even when I have the error again afterwards.
