Hi Chris, the best alternative I'm aware of and I have been using successfully for some weeks now (to the extent possible in PuTTY, which has some rough edges in Unicode and screen line drawing support) is a patched PuTTY snapshot with MIT Kerberos support, courteously provided by Matthew Loar.
